Отельный комплекс располагается на живописном склоне горы Кастель в Алуште. Эта часть города носит название Профессорский уголок. В середине XIX века ученые и профессора начали возводить дачи в этой части города - так появилось название местности. Ещё до революции здесь появились живописные парки и усадьбы, которые сейчас входят в состав санаториев и домов отдыха.

Здания строились в разные периоды времени и носят отпечаток различных эпох. Первый и третий корпуса были построены в конце 50-х годов, а пятый возводился в 70-е годы. Здания живописно расположились на склоне, который террасами поднимается от берега моря.
